Continuously delivered cloud service — SAP publishes no single end-of-maintenance date, so there is no countdown for the line as a whole.
SAP Datasphere is SAP's cloud data-warehouse and business-data-fabric service on SAP BTP — the next generation of Data Warehouse Cloud — adding data integration, cataloguing and semantic modelling, with a BW Bridge for customers carrying SAP BW estates forward.
It became generally available on 8 March 2023. As a continuously delivered cloud service it follows a rolling-release model: SAP updates it on a regular cadence and publishes no single end-of-maintenance date, so there is no countdown clock for the line as a whole. Individual data-center releases may carry their own short windows, but customers are kept current automatically rather than facing a version cliff.
As the current strategic data platform it is the destination rather than a product with a successor; BW and Data Intelligence capabilities are increasingly converging into it.
Data and analytics teams designing a cloud data foundation are the audience; as a continuously delivered service Datasphere has no end-of-maintenance clock, though customers should track feature-level roadmaps.
