SAP Business Data Cloud

Continuously delivered cloud service — SAP publishes no single end-of-maintenance date, so there is no countdown for the line as a whole.

Overview

SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP BDC) is SAP's fully managed data-and-analytics platform, launched on 13 February 2025. It unifies SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Business Warehouse with a managed SAP Databricks engine into a single business data fabric for analytics, planning and AI.

As a continuously delivered SaaS solution it carries no end-of-maintenance clock of its own.

BDC is where SAP's two data lineages converge: the data-warehouse line (BW → BW/4HANA → Datasphere) and the analytics line (BusinessObjects BI → Lumira → SAP Analytics Cloud). From 1 January 2026 Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud are no longer sold standalone for new subscriptions; they continue, and are offered, via BDC, and existing customers can transition to the fully managed BDC over time.

Data and analytics leaders planning a converged, AI-ready data foundation are the audience.

Frequently asked questions

Does SAP Business Data Cloud have an end-of-life or end-of-maintenance date?
SAP Business Data Cloud is a continuously delivered (rolling-release) service. SAP keeps it current on a regular cadence and publishes no single end-of-maintenance date, so there is no countdown for the line as a whole. Individual releases may carry their own short windows, but customers are kept current automatically rather than facing a version cliff.
Where do these SAP Business Data Cloud dates come from, and how current are they?
These dates are compiled from SAP's published sources (SAP — product & maintenance information). EOLHQ is an independent reference — always confirm against the official SAP Product Availability Matrix and your support contract before making decisions.
