Continuously delivered cloud service — SAP publishes no single end-of-maintenance date, so there is no countdown for the line as a whole.
SAP GUI for Windows 8.10 is the next release of SAP's classic desktop client for ABAP-based systems, succeeding SAP GUI 8.00. Unlike 8.00's architectural leap to a true 64-bit client, 8.10 concentrates on theming (including a successor to the Quartz theme family), usability and operational features, following a beta program that ran through late 2025.
SAP plans to ship the release on 16 July 2026 (per SAP Note 147519), a date moved from the original Q1 2026 plan; that delay is also why SAP extended restricted support for SAP GUI 8.00 until 31 July 2027. The maintenance end date for 8.10 itself has not yet been published and should be confirmed in Note 147519 and the PAM once the release ships.
Once available, 8.10 becomes the upgrade target for desktop fleets currently on 8.00, whose mainstream maintenance ends 12 January 2027; SAP Fiori remains the strategic web-based front end. As with previous releases, the GUI can be upgraded independently of back-end system versions.
End-user-computing and Basis teams planning client rollouts for 2026–2027 are the audience: the 8.00-to-8.10 window is deliberately short, so packaging and distribution should be scheduled soon after the ship date.
