SAP Data Hub was SAP's data-orchestration platform for building and managing data pipelines across distributed, heterogeneous landscapes. It established the capabilities that were carried forward and rebranded as SAP Data Intelligence.
It became generally available on 14 September 2018. SAP mainstream maintenance ended 31 March 2021 — the date from which SAP ceases routine corrections, security notes and legal/regulatory updates for the release. Crucially, SAP offers no extended-maintenance phase for this release, so the mainstream date is a hard cut-off rather than the start of a paid extension — there is no buying of extra time at the version level. Systems still on this release are now running without standard SAP support, which is a security, compliance and audit exposure that should be closed quickly.
Its successor is SAP Data Intelligence, with those capabilities now converging into SAP Datasphere. Data Hub is not a current product and is relevant chiefly as the predecessor in that lineage.
Data-engineering teams that encounter Data Hub in older architectures should map it to Data Intelligence (and, strategically, Datasphere); it is past maintenance and not a destination.
