SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation 7.5 is the earlier, BusinessObjects-branded release of SAP's statutory-consolidation application, whose lineage runs back to Cartesis Magnitude — the French consolidation product Business Objects acquired in April 2007, months before SAP acquired Business Objects itself. Under the BOFC/BFC name it handled complex, multi-GAAP legal consolidation for large multinational groups, with a particularly strong base in Europe and Japan.
It became generally available on 15 September 2009. SAP mainstream maintenance ended 31 December 2015, and the subsequent Priority-One support phase ended 31 December 2017; the release now sits in customer-specific maintenance only, meaning systems still on it have been without standard corrections for many years.
Its successor is SAP Financial Consolidation 10.1, the current release of the same code line under the product's present name, which carries maintenance to the end of 2030.
This entry is lineage and audit context for finance teams who know the product as BOFC, BFC or Cartesis; anything still running 7.5 should long since have moved to 10.1 or begun the transition to SAP S/4HANA Finance for group reporting.
