SAP HANA Cloud is the managed, cloud-native generation of SAP HANA delivered as a service on SAP BTP, providing the in-memory database, data-tiering and multi-model capabilities without customers managing the underlying infrastructure.
It first shipped around 2020. As a continuously delivered cloud service it follows a rolling-release model: SAP updates it on a regular cadence and publishes no single end-of-maintenance date, so there is no countdown clock for the line as a whole. Individual data-center releases may carry their own short windows, but customers are kept current automatically rather than facing a version cliff.
As the current go-forward HANA offering, it is the destination rather than a product with a successor; on-premise HANA 2.0 customers adopt it as part of moving database workloads to the cloud.
Data-platform architects evaluating where SAP data should live in the cloud are the audience; as a managed service it is continuously updated and carries no end-of-maintenance countdown for the service itself.
